The Math Team participates in the Mid-Hudson Junior High Math League. The league is divided into sections. Wallkill traditionally competes in Section C against Goshen and Pine Bush. The Wallkill Math Team is usually comprised of 10 to 20 students from 7th, 8th and 9th grades. Two to three teams of five students each actually participate at one given time. The topics for the different rounds are: Speed & Accuracy; Calculator; Percents; Geometry; and Wild Card (where anything goes). The final event is a relay where team work really counts!  During one meet the students work on a series of questions in a cooperative learning style in place of the relay.
